- How do you make money if the editor is free?
- The editor sells the engine: companies that embed the same pure-Rust PDF engine in their own products buy a SDK licence. That funds development of both, so the app stays free for everyone.
- Is it open source?
- No — the app is free to use, including commercially, but it's proprietary. You can use it as distributed; redistributing it or extracting its components (including the engine) needs a licence. See full terms.
