Founder, PDFluent
Jasper de Winter is the founder of Innovation Trigger B.V., the company behind PDFluent. He built a PDF engine entirely in Rust, comprising 48 crates with no C or C++ dependencies, a rarity in the field. The engine includes an implementation of the deprecated XFA specification and a custom renderer using vello_cpu. He also developed a free desktop PDF editor for macOS and Windows. His work is distinguished by rigorous validation — cross-checking outputs with external tools and publishing reproducible test results. When benchmarks proved irreproducible, he withdrew them rather than defend flawed data. He provides packet captures for independent verification of PDFluent's behavior.
