FAQ

Questions, answered.

The short version: PDFluent is free for personal use, runs fully local, and never sends your files anywhere. Here are the details.

Is PDFluent really free?
Yes — free for personal use, with the full app and no feature gates. Business use needs a $49/year-per-user licence.
Does it work offline?
Yes — PDFluent is fully local and needs no internet connection to work.
Where does my data go?
Nowhere. Your files never leave your device — there is no account, no cloud and no telemetry.
Which platforms are supported?
PDFluent runs on macOS, Windows and Linux.
How does the business licence work?
It is self-declaration on first run, backed by an Ed25519-signed licence file. One licence per user, billed annually, with volume pricing for teams.
Is it open source?
No. The app is free for personal use; commercial use needs a licence.
Can it open XFA / dynamic forms?
Yes — PDFluent opens and renders XFA forms many readers refuse, and can flatten them to a standard PDF.
Is it secure?
It is built in memory-safe Rust and runs fully local. Read the security story.
Is there a developer SDK?
